A Farm Toy Dream Realized!
Posted by Christopher Burnett on
When someone uses the term "A Dream Realized", what thoughts and dreams come to your mind! When it relates to a commercial building with a storefront showroom open to the public, that is a dream I did not know would come true. We at Burnett Farm Toys, LLC are proud to announce that the dream is now reality, and our grand opening of our storefront showroom is scheduled for Friday Oct. 9th and Saturday Oct. 10th. Our grand opening ceremony with ribbon cutting will be at 10am on Friday, and the showroom will then be open to the public until...
Light at the End of the Showroom Opening Tunnel
Posted by Christopher Burnett on
Greetings Farm Toy and Toy Truck Collectors! One saying I refer to is "there is light at the end of the tunnel, and it is not a freight train"! That is the case for our storefront showroom opening to the public. It has been a daunting task to set it all up, and for those of you that have seen me at shows know how particular I am about how my display is set up. Unfortunately my family members especially know that first hand! With that being said, we will announce our grand opening date soon! Please continue to watch...
Storefront Furnishings Complete!

It has taken time, but the last of the storefront furnishings are installed! See the pictures below. We spent Labor Day weekend building the rest of the pegboards and staining them on Labor Day. After letting them dry, we put them in the storefront this past Saturday. Since the below pictures were taken, we've begun placing the peg hooks and hanging packaged farm toys and Greenlight items. Once we finish cleaning two toy collections this upcoming Saturday and placing those items on the shelves, we'll know a better timeline for our Grand Opening! It's coming!!!!! The following 1/64 scale items...
Beginning to Stock Shelves

We have begun to stock shelves in the storefront! See more pictures below. We were hoping to have the store open by the end of this month, but we still need more time. We have shelves to finish stocking and pegboards to build. Our goal is to have a grand opening sometime in September. We'll keep you posted! We have posted to the website three new Lowboy Bridge Beam hauler sets with Kenworth T800 38-inch sleepers, ten new Deep Drop Tank Trailer Sets with Pete 359 36-inch sleepers, two Livestock Trailer sets with Peterbilt 389 63-inch sleepers, and some farm...
Inner Carpentry Skills
Posted by Christopher Burnett on
I had to dig deep for some inner carpentry skills but I think the crafted pegboard turned out as planned. Quite different from the 1/64 scale custom building skills I've acquired over the years! We plan to have several pegboards dividing the store's isles for displaying carded items. The four new semi truck sets that were posted and pictured in the previous blog have all been added to the website for purchase, including the individual cabs and individual trailers. Pictured below are two Auto World pickup trucks and one of Greenlight's Bigfoot monster trucks that has been added to the...
